The Devoted Dreamers Podcast Ep. 251: Finding Beauty in the Messy Middle of Pursuing a God-Shaped Dream

Any fellow dreamers out there? If you’ve been around for awhile, you remember that my very first blog where I wrote for 10 years (2005-2015) was DreamMore.com. I’m a big dreamer and always will be! But what I’ve learned over the last handful of years is how to actually put feet to those dreams. Oh, how much easier it is for me to just stay in the clouds, in the la-la land of my dream world. Some dreams will never come to fruition. Some WILL, but you have to go for it. I’m learning how much courage a God-shaped dream takes to walk out, and what I know is that God will give us what we need along the way.

So I love the vision of The Devoted Dreamers podcast, which is hosted by my old friend Merritt Onsa. Merritt and I knew each other when we went to church together back in Dallas, did some writing projects together many years ago, and recently got reconnected! I got to join her on episode 251: Finding Beauty in the Messy Middle of Pursuing a God-Shaped Dream.

This conversation made me choke up a few times, because God-shaped dreams is a topic very near and dear to me, and I wrote a lot about this in my book, The Kindred Life.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in messy parts of your dream, this is the episode for you.

In Merritt’s words…

My guest Christine Bailey knows all about stepping into a dream that is not fully figured out and the courage that comes from taking simple steps of obedience. From small beginnings, to the messy middle, and into seasons of fruitfulness, Christine and I talk about how to find beauty in every season of dreaming. So if you need a bit of encouragement or a little shift in perspective today when it comes to your dream, come join me for my conversation with farmer, writer, and fellow dreamer Christine Bailey.
