Here are a few beloved organizations and companies I want to share with you. I have personal experience with each of them and believe in their work!

doTerra

I’m a Wellness Advocate and avid user of doTerra products for 12 years now in my home! My doTerra oils are an absolutely essential part of my everyday life, especially life on a farm.

I appreciate that doTerra’s oils come from all over the world where the plants grow best indigenously (as a sustainable farmer, this resonates with me!) and that they empower and pour into the local communities where they work. My all-time favorite oils are: Frankincense, Helichrysum, Serenity, Copaiba, Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint.

Peace Gospel International

I’m an Orphan Advocate for Peace Gospel, an organization I’ve partnered with since 1999 and believe in wholeheartedly. I actually got to participate in their work firsthand when I went to India in 2005. It changed me in ways I’m still discovering now.

Peace Gospel helps empower their orphan care and human trafficking response programs with farmlands and small businesses to provide fresh food and to multiply finding for these vulnerable children. Their programs offer complete residential care, nutrition, and education to orphans who would otherwise be homeless.

African Leadership / Mocha Club

My friend Barrett Ward (now the CEO of ABLE) brought me on board to start Mocha Club in 2005. The idea is giving up $9 a month (the cost of 2 mochas) to directly help support a project in Africa. I got to travel to Kenya and Uganda in 2006 to visit several of our projects, hold babies in orphanages, learn the stories of HIV/AIDS patients, feed children, and visit schools we were helping build and fund. What so many others say about Africa is true: I left part of my heart there. I also learned how much Africa, with all its beauty, joy and need, had to teach me.

Lindywell (formerly The Balanced Life Sisterhood)

For over 8 years now, I’ve loved doing Pilates at home with Lindywell (formerly The Balanced Life). Robin Long, who created Lindywell, is like a best friend in your living room leading you through the workouts. I love how Lindywell fosters healthy and strong body image over being a certain size or appearance, and my body craves Pilates now.

If this is something you’re looking for, join me! The monthly membership includes a really fun-and-easy-to-use app (and website) with a library of hundreds of Pilates workouts, tons of nourishing anti-inflammatory recipes, a wellness mission each month, online community, and lots of encouragement and support.

Yup, I’ve done Pilates in my pajamas, squeezed in 30 minutes while dinner is cooking, or even done workouts on my bathroom floor. Wherever and whenever, it still works wonderfully.
