The Kindred Life Podcast Ep. 9: From the Outside - A Winter Creek

This week, I’m back with another episode in the series "From the Outside" on The Kindred Life Podcast. This is where I record an episode OUTSIDE to share with you ~ either from a spot on the farm or elsewhere. The first “From the Outside” episode (episode 4) that I recorded in the Blue Ridge Mountains has been one of the top downloaded episodes so far! These episodes are shorter and focused on soaking up the beauty outdoors and engaging all five of our senses. This one was recorded while I sat on a rock inside a creek bed on our farm. 🏞️ I share a favorite winter poem and all the details of what I'm sensing from my perch in the woods. So grab your own spot outside, and join me!

Here are some photos & links of things I mention in Episode 9. Listen to the episode so you know what this is about!

Here I am in the exact spot I recorded this episode in our winter creek bed:

Here’s the poetry book I read from, Outside Your Window: A First Book of Nature, in a spread on our homeschool table. We love reading from it in each season!

When I was talking about taste, I had an editing snafu, and I meant to explain the other way I love making coffee right now - with a half scoop of Be Well by Kelly collagen protein powder!
